Intensive Russian Assaults Disrupt Electricity Across Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities under attack in Ukraine
The country's power facilities have come under increased strikes in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Russian aerial assaults have caused power cuts in large parts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were hurt while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and dealt with interruptions to drinking water, per reports from city officials.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a separate assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, as reported by local officials.

Moscow has escalated attacks on power infrastructure over the past few days, while officials has requested "concrete actions" from international partners to exert influence on Russia.

"What is required is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the America, Europe and the Group of Seven - in delivering air defence systems and implementing penalties," was stated in a social media post.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 rockets struck energy facilities, labeling such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were striving to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles hit power facilities and apartment buildings in the capital.

Multiple people injured in the strikes on the city have been hospitalized, per statements from city authorities.

Local officials said the city came under significant strikes during nighttime hours. A young boy died and several individuals were wounded.

The strikes follow evenings of air raids in the area, portions of which are occupied by invading troops.

The whole nation is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to identify.

National leaders told journalists that Moscow was intentionally trying to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with assaults already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated technical personnel and authorities were preparing for additional strikes.
